Mammography & Breast Imaging
Bidar, Karnataka
Mammography is a low-dose X-ray of the breast, and it is the test that finds changes too small to be felt.
Examinations here are performed and reported by Dr. Ashwini Sindagi, a female consultant radiologist specialising in women's imaging — which many patients prefer for breast imaging.
Where a mammogram or ultrasound finds something that needs a closer look, breast biopsy and FNAC can be done at the same centre rather than sending you elsewhere.
Before you come
How to prepare for your mammography & breast imaging
No talcum powder or deodorant
On the day of your mammogram do not apply talcum powder, deodorant or antiperspirant to your breasts or underarms. They show up on the image and can be mistaken for a real finding.
Wear a two-piece outfit
You will need to undress from the waist up, so a separate top and skirt or trousers is easier than a dress.
Bring any previous breast imaging
Earlier mammograms, ultrasound images and reports let us compare directly and see what has changed. Bring your doctor's referral as well.
Booking a mammogram, biopsy or FNAC
Centre-based appointments are provided. Please visit the centre for an appointment. Bring the scan or mammogram that led to the procedure being advised.
