Certification
Fetal Medicine Foundation, London (UK)
The Fetal Medicine Foundation sets the international standard for nuchal translucency and 1st trimester screening. Certification is granted to individual practitioners after they demonstrate measurement accuracy, and it is audited on an ongoing basis.
Dr. Ashwini Sindagi holds that certification. In practical terms that means the nuchal translucency measurement behind your risk calculation is taken the way the standard requires.
What this means for you
A female radiologist. Many patients would rather a woman performed their obstetric, pelvic or breast ultrasound, and at most centres that means making a request and hoping it can be arranged on the day. Here it is simply how the centre runs: Dr. Ashwini Sindagi performs and reports the scans herself.
Reporting happens here. Images are not sent to an outside service for reporting, which is why findings can be discussed with you before you leave rather than explained over the phone days later. Most reports are ready the same day or the next.
Come as you are referred. Referrals are accepted from any doctor, and no prescription is needed to ask us a question. Our staff assist in Kannada, Hindi and English. Cash, UPI and card are all accepted, with a bill. Senior citizens and emergency cases are seen ahead of the queue.
