General Ultrasound

Bidar, Karnataka

Ultrasound uses sound waves rather than radiation, so it is safe to repeat as often as your treatment requires.

Scans are performed and reported by Dr. Ashwini Sindagi, a female consultant radiologist — which many patients prefer for pelvic, breast and obstetric ultrasound.

Ultrasound scans are by prior appointment, and patients are seen on a first come, first served basis. Please call us ahead.

Before you come

How to prepare for your general ultrasound

Whole abdomen — fasting as suggested by your clinician

Water is allowed. Avoid fizzy drinks the day before, as gas obscures the image.

Follicular tracking — timing as your clinician advises

It is a series of scans rather than one appointment. Come on the days your clinician indicates.

Pelvis or KUB — full bladder instead

The opposite applies. Drink about one litre of water an hour before and do not pass urine until after the scan.

Not sure what applies to you?Call 90364 40533— we will tell you exactly what to do before your scan. If your own doctor has given you different instructions, follow theirs.
